2.17 Tissa#
He gains many enemies,
one who—shaven-headed,
wearing an outer robe—
gains food, drink, cloth, lodgings.
Knowing this drawback,
this great danger in honors,
a monk, gaining little,
not soggy,1
should go forth
mindfully.
